Edward Thomas Hardy (born September 15, 1977) is an English actor, producer, and screenwriter. Known for his intense and transformative performances, he has received widespread critical acclaim and numerous accolades, including a BAFTA Award and nominations for an Academy Award and Critics' Choice Movie Award. Hardy began his film career with notable roles in Black Hawk Down (2001) and Star Trek: Nemesis (2002), before gaining recognition for his lead performance in Bronson (2008). He earned further acclaim for his roles in Warrior (2011) and Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). His portrayal of John Fitzgerald in The Revenant (2015) earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Hardy is also known for his television work, including his role as Alfie Solomons in Peaky Blinders and as co-creator and lead actor in Taboo. In recent years, he has starred in the Venom franchise, portraying Eddie Brock and the titular symbiote.
He portrayed Eames in Inception and collaborated with director Christopher Nolan again in The Dark Knight Rises (2012) and Dunkirk (2017).
