Time dilation is an effect where a longer time interval in lower level (higher level number, level 4 is Limbo) dream corresponds to a shorter time interval in a higher level (lower level number, level 0 is reality).
Standard Somnacin has 12x[1] per level. Yusuf's specialized compound for the Fischer inception job has 20x[2] per level.
