The Penrose Stairs was the dream created by Arthur in order to demonstrate to Ariadne the importance of mazes and paradoxical architecture to creating a convincing dream space.
The dream notably features a set of impossible stairs in an office building that Arthur uses to illustrate to Ariadne how dreamers can manipulate architecture to contain projections.
